In April 2017, I created a virtually panoramic 360-degree exhibition of graphic works by Yu.B. Kabanov.
Kabanov Yuri Borisovich (October 26, 1938 — September 17, 2019) — graphic artist, Honored Artist of Russia, member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
Russian graphic artist, painter, draftsman. One of the leading graphic artists of Siberia, whose work for a long period of time determines the nature and level of Altai art. Yuri Borisovich Kabanov made a significant contribution to the formation of the professional graphic art of the region.
When I worked at the Museum of the History of the Development of Mining Industry named after Akinfiy Demidov, I got acquainted with the artwork of Yuri Kabanov. They inspired me to create a virtual exhibition. I created this project in 3Ds Max — 2017 using V-Ray rendering. I made the panorama using the «Krpano» program. The main task was to display this exhibition using personal computer monitors. Now the time demands to remake this exhibition to display it on smartphones and VR glasses.
This project includes: 10 points of 360-degree panoramic viewing, 37 graphic works from the museum’s funds, photographs from the 1990 exhibition.
Now I want to redesign this exhibit using 3Ds Max — 2021 and Corona render. I want to make this exhibit for showing with VR glasses. I also plan to use MR technologies and create a moving exhibition using the Unreal Engine. I plan to create a series of exhibitions this year using 3D visualization technologies.
An icon for viewing a 360 degree panorama. There are 10 such places in this art exhibition. At each location you can increase or decrease the view.
Icon for viewing information about objects of cultural heritage and works of Yu. Kabanov. All information in this presentation is in Russian. In the future, I will do it in two languages (English and Russian).
Icon for following a link. There are two such icons in this exhibition. One icon to exit the presentation, the second icon to go to the site of Yu. Kabanov.
This was a pilot project. There are inaccuracies in it. This project was created for the site of the museum. Later the museum changed its website and some links in the exhibition are not working correctly. When I created this project, Yuri Kabanov was still alive. For a more convenient viewing, the project is best viewed in a horizontal format or on a computer or laptop monitor.
